VERINA WEAVER ALCM - Piano & Theory Teacher

A Little Background on Verina:

I have been teaching piano to children and adults for some 25 years both in schools and in private practice, regularly preparing pupils for examinations with the Associated Board (Prep Test up to Grade 8) in both Piano and Theory.  I am also happy to help pupils with their GCSE Music work as many of them find that they need extra tuition on top of their school curriculum work.

Trained at the Royal College of Music, having previously been a Junior Exhibitioner at Trinity College of Music as well as the winner of the Silver Medal for the Highest Mark of the Year with the London College of Music two years running in Grades 7 & 8, I then went on to specialise in accompanying musicians of all types but most especially singers.

When I started my family I began to teach in several schools and also commenced my own private practice teaching both at home and in pupils' own homes.  When my own children became teenagers I decided to have a break from teaching and spent time as a magistrate and then a senior Councillor with Southend Council.

Four years ago I decided that I would like to start teaching again and have gradually taken on pupils of all ages and standards, maintaining my excellent examination record with those pupils that wish to take examinations with the Associated Board.
